Full Description
Remains of a Clava-type chamber cairn, sited above the confluence of the Spey and the Avon. Of the surrounding stone circle only four standing stones remain with a fifth stump to southwest and a fallen one to the south-southeast. The cairn is 12m in diameter and 1.2m high, surrounded by a fairly complete kerb of rectangular blocks, the largest nearest to the entrance passage on the south. The entrance, formed of two stones that project from the kerb, is still partially lintelled. It leads from the south and to chamber, now partially collapsed, 3.35m in diameter. It is depicted on the OS 1st/2nd edition map as remains of a stone circle.
