Full Description

Turf covered remains of a 15th century towerhouse. The walls are of rubble masonry bonded with lime mortar, but only a broken single course of inner and outer wall faces is discernible. There is a short section of walling leading from the West angle, and some ground disturbance to northwest may indicate outbuildings or courtyard. Possibly the seat of the Grant family and the predecessor of Ballindalloch Castle (NJ13NE0004).
