Full Description
Area of rig and furrow. This area of rig, measuring approximately 150m square (2.25ha) and aligned roughly east and west, is situated close to the rifle ranges at Blackdog Links (NJ91NE 22.00). The rig could not be examined on the date of visit because the ranges were in use, but it is clear from oblique air photography (AAS/94/15/G30/19) that the rig lies further south than previously reported, being centred around NJ 9625 1510. A second, smaller, area of rig is situated about 100m to the south.
