Summary
Remains of a stony bank, spread to a maximum of circa 1.3 m accompanied by a very slight ditch, recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181).

Full Description
Remains of a stony bank, spread to a maximum of circa 1.3 m accompanied by a very slight ditch, recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). It edges the northern margin of a track discontinuously for circa 46 m east of the junction in the motorable tracks. Probably contemporary with original track construction. A desk based assessment carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry and subsequent field observation noted the site (S22.3) as present but did not record any further details, with the site located outwith the proposed development area.
