Full Description
Disc barrow with five small barrows in an arc round its southern half. The barrow consists of a central platform 5.5 m in diameter level with surrounding ground, surrounded by a ditch 0.2 m deep and 2 m wide, with a bank, 0.2 m high and spread 2.5 m wide on its outer lip, which is best preserved in the western half though barely traceable in the east. Overall diameter 14.5 m. Other barrows are visible as ill-defined circular ditches averaging 1.5 m wide by 0.1 m deep and varying between 6.5 m and 8.5 m diameter overall, best preserved in the west. Field visit in 2006 noted two short stretches of probably prehistoric field wall converge towards the southwest corner of the barrow complex from a distance of circa 30 m to the southwest. These probably extend further but bracken growth only allowed sporadic information.
