Full Description
A field survey and watching brief were carried out by Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit in March 2009 ahead of construction of a new track across the woodland. The walkover survey recorded a total of 43 possible archaeological features, including a bank, hut circle, rig and furrow. No features or artefacts were identified during the monitoring of groundworks for the trackway, which had been sited to avoid impact on known archaeological features.
