Full Description

An extensive area of rig and furrow in peaty ground on the south side of Leuchar Moss identified from aerial photographs. In the east area the rig and furrow is running east and west, while in the west they are aligned north and south. The rigs measure up to 8m in breadth. Rig and furrow was a type of cultivation practised in areas of the Scotland and appears to have been created through excavation by spade rather than plough.
