Full Description
Remains of rig and furrow visible on aerial photographs. Partly overlain by the designed landscape of Castle Fraser (NJ71SW0139). RCAHMS (1998) recorded two small areas of rig and furrow in this old plantation which has largely reverted to heather moorland. The first, centred NJ 7364 1255, is aligned northwest-southeast and comprises rigs up to 4 m in breadth separated by broad furrows in which field cleared stones have been dumped. The second area lies circa 150 m to the northeast, the rigs measuring up to 7 m in breadth and aligned northwest-southeast.
