Full Description

Curling pond, depicted on the OS 2nd edition map (but which does not appear on the 1st edition OS map). It was recorded by MAS in 2012 as part of a historic landscape survey of the Blairs estate ahead of proposed development of the estate. The pond was built circa 1900 and measures circa 90 m long by 16m wide, enclosed by stone and earth banks circa 2 m high.
