Full Description
Remains of a large granite quarry, opened in the late 19th century and depicted on the OS 2nd edition map. This shows the quarry, smithy, another long building, three cranes, tramways and a long incline linking the quarry with the Alford Valley railway. At the foot of the railway is a small row of granite cottages.
