Full Description
Circular bowl-shaped hollow 'having a raised border', with a break in the south east side, and circa 12 feet in diameter, recorded in the 19th century. Excavation in 1873 revealed a layer of ashes, cinders and some fire-blackened stones but no finds. OS site visit 1972 noted the circular hollow, circa 4.5m in diameter and circa 0.5m deep but found no sign of a 'raised border. Its purpose is obscure. Possible hut-circle.
