Full Description
Areas of rig and furrow and clearance cairns. Three areas of medieval rig and furrow, recorded by RCAHMS in 1999 as measuring about 5 metres (16ft 5in) in breadth, and ranging in height from 0.2 metres (8in) in the eastern and central areas to 0.4 metres (1ft 4in) in the western area. In the central and western areas the rigs are aligned roughly north/south. This alignment is also found at the north end of the eastern area, but towards the south end they are aligned roughly east/west. Many of the clearance cairns lie to the west of the recorded rig and furrow. See also NJ60NE0016.
