Full Description
Alleged camp. The New Statistical Account (1845) describes an earthn rampart 230 yards long at the foot of the Hill of Corse. RCAHMS site visit 1994 concluded that a stretch of bank flanking the northeast side of the track to Heathebrae cottage is probably the one referred to by the NSA. It can be traced for about 150m. The date and purpose are unknown, but it is similar to other stretches of bank in the vicinity.
Author unknown, n.d., NSA, VOL12(1845) 1092 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1269.
