Full Description
Remains of a probable shell midden, eroding out of the bank. Reported April 2014. It extends for circa 50 m from the start of the shingle eastwards. Fragments of clay pipe stem and china (some modern) can be seen protruding from the eroding face. Site visit in 2022 during Moray Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS) observed midden material including high concentrations of shells (many of them mussel) as well as bone, 19th-20th century pottery and a piece of cloth.
