Full Description
Remains of rig and furrow. On the north side of Brimmond Hill, west of Aberdeen, several areas of remains of early agriculture can be seen including narrow spade rigs and wider rig and furrow. These remains survive in areas of rough grazing or moorland; no trace can be seen when field have been recently ploughed as this destroys evidence of earlier ploughing. The rigs are the remains of the last ploughing event. See also NJ80SE0028.
