Full Description

Two graves. One was that of John Gillon who was hung in chains for murder and buried here at foot of a gibbet in 1811. The other grave was that of a woman who committed suicide some years later. OS site visit 1972 recorded that they were known locally, but then only marked by a fallen wooden post and located in an area of dense coniferous scrub.
