Full Description
Earth rampart, known as Danish Dyke, traditionally the site of the Danish camp before the battle of Mortlach. It survives as the remains of a substantial bank, 3.0m wide and 1m high, with a slight inner ditch. Not a defensive work, but possibly part of a small Medieval park enclosure or coppice bank. It cannot be traced any further to the northeast.
