Full Description

Remains of a farmstead depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows an L-plan steading with attached horsemill on the north side, with rectangular buildings to the west and south, the latter with attached enclosure to the south. The layout is is unchanged on the 2nd edition although the horsemill has been removed, and part of the north wing of the steading and the building to the west appear to be disused. A topographic survey of an associated dyke (NO99NW0083) was carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2012 ahead of the proposed Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
