Full Description
Farmstead depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition map depicts a rectangular building and L-shaped steading around three sides of a court. By the time of the OS 2nd edition map these buildings had all been removed. The 2nd edition map depicts the farmstead of Scatterburn in field east of the original site, and comprising a house, U-shaped steading and additional rectangular building. This farmstead is still in use. The 2nd edition map also shows a millpond and dam, no longer extant, to the south of the steading.
