Full Description
The remains of a farmstead stand on the south side of Hill of Auquhollie. It is depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps as a U-shaped steading with open court to the south and an attached enclosure to the north, with two other buildings to the east. Site visit in July 2014 as part of a walkover survey carried out by Headland Archaeology in July 2014 (NO79SE0050) noted that the northern building had been partially renovated to render it sound for use as a storage area/animal pen: though unroofed it is solid to a height of circa 2 m..
