Full Description

Remains of a farmstead that is depicted on the 1st edition OS map. It shows five roofed rectangular buildings, two unroofed buildings, and two rectangular enclosures. By the time of the 2nd edition map, one building had been removed and two others are roofless, leaving only two roofed buildings at this date. Site visit in July 2014 as part of a walkover survey carried out by Headland Archaeology (NO79SE0050) in connection with a proposed wind farm noted four buildings and two enclosures. One gable survives to eaves height but the other buildings are all reduced to their lower courses.
