Full Description

Pill-box, a six-sided type 22 box, sunk into the ground with approximately 4 feet above ground level. It has granite stone walls with a concrete roof over corrugated iron shuttering, earth on roof for camouflage, one door and five loop-holes. Part of the Cowie Stop Line, covering the bridge. It sits on the hill to the south of the bridge. Formerly at the edge of woodland and probably camouflaged. This pill-box is unique on the Cowie Line as having the internal ricochet wall made of concrete blocks instead of the usual bricks.
