Full Description
Remains of two dykes recorded during walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services in February 2024 ahead of proposed native woodland planting (NJ11NE0127). The western one, part of an enclosure boundary depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps, comprised turf covered footings 1.5 m wide and up to 0.6 m high. The north edge peters out at the edge of the natural slope down to the burn. The eastern is also 1.5 m wide, up to 0.5 m high. It does not appear on the 1st or 2nd edition OS maps.
