Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows an L-plan farmhouse open to the north, set within a garden. To the southwest of the farmhouse there is an E-plan steading open to the south. To the southeast of the farmhouse there is a small L-plan building (possibly a house) and a garden. By the 2nd edition the steading had been extended, and the L-plan building had reduced in size and was rectangular with two compartments. To the west of the steading there had been an addition of a rectangular building. By the time of the 5th edition the farmhouse had been extended and rectangular building to the southeast of the farmhouse had been removed. The rectangular building to the west of the steading had been extended. There had been an addition of a small rectangular building to the north of the steading and a 19th century farm chimney to the northwest of the steading. It is a circular section brick chimney.
