Farmstead, still in use, depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a U-shaped steading open to the south, with a rectangular building with attached enclosure to the west, and two further rectangular buildings on the northwest and southwest sides of a square enclosure.

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a U-shaped steading open to the south, with a rectangular building with attached enclosure to the west, and two further rectangular buildings on the northwest and southwest sides of a square enclosure. East of the buildings is a mill dam and small rectangular mill pond fed by a lade running from the northeast. The layout is essentially unchanged on the OS 2nd edition map although there have been some modifications to the buildings. Current maps show further alterations and additions. A photographic survey of the U-plan building was carried out in 2017 prior to proposed demolition. Parts of the lade were recorded during walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services in February 2024 ahead of proposed native woodland planting (NJ11NE0127). Between NJ1902818964 and NJ1873818873 the remains comprised a 5 m wide channel running parallel to the burn, but now mainly filled with turf.
