Full Description
Remains of a cattle shelter and drystone enclosure, that is depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Building recording was carried out by Addyman Archaeology in November 2012 prior to development of a repair strategy. The structure is of 19th century date, and appears to be a rare example of a building type once common in the region. It is one of a number of structures resulting from a period of improvements on the Crathes estate. it has a hipped roof of pantiles.
