Full Description
Field system and cairnfield. At least three burial cairns, a ring cairn and a rectilinear enclosure, which may be best considered as an antiquity (see also NO79NE0033, NO79NE0034, NO79NE0035). There are at least 200 cairns on the crest of a ridge, spreading over 9 hectares, as well as a scatter of cairns along the length of the South East edge of Kirkton Wood. Among them are five enclosures. A hut circle to the South West at NO7795 9580, is probably associated with system. A small area of rigs overlie part of the system in the East.
