Full Description
Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows a U-plan steading, open to the southeast, a long range with attached horsemill, a rectangular building, and rectangular house with attached garden. A sun dial is shown in the garden. By the time of the 2nd edition map, the steading had been extended, including the infilling of the court, the smaller building to the east had been removed, and the house had been extended to an L-plan. The horse-gang house, of late 18th or early 19th century date was an unusual 12-sided structure, rubble built with a slated roof, but has been removed.
