Full Description
Remains of cairns lie in an area which has experienced continuous deep ploughing and re-planting. There are numerous amorphous mounds and banks may be cairns. 19th century accounts mention that human remains were found during the destruction of some of the 'cairns'. A number of cairns are depicted on both the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps, which also denote that human remains were found in this area.
