Full Description

Remains of a farmstead, comprising three buildings. There are two main buildings on either side of a small courtyard. The southernmost building stands in places to 1.6 m high and is constructed of roughly dressed, lime mortared stone. The building measures 5.75 m x 4.5 m. The building to the north consists of three ranges with masonry standing to 1.2 m high. The east range is 7 m x 3.5 m, the south range is 12 m x 4.7 m and the west range is 17 m x 5.2 m. The farmstead is depicted on the OS 1st edition map which shows a U-shaped steading, open to the south with a possible attached horsemill to the north. A rectangular buildings stands to the southeast of the steading. By the time of the OS 2nd edition map the steading had been extended to the west and the original rectangular building appears to have been removed, although the 2nd edition shows two rectangular buildings south of the steading.
