Full Description

Possible remains of a kiln. The feature, annotated on the historic OS maps, is a hollow, 4m in diameter and 0.5m deep. It is probably the remains of a kiln, although no stonework is visible. Traditionally the scene of the boiling of Sherriff Melville in circa 1420.
