Full Description

House dating from the 17th century and remodelled in the 18th century. Tall 3-storey, L-plan, with a corbelled projection on the south front, the wall in-taken at the second floor on the south and east gables. Harled all over in circa 1930. The interior is unvaulted, with two fine panelled rooms of mid 18th century. A walled garden with gatepiers is to the south of the house. Documentary records refer to a mill at Borrowfield in 1574, but its location is unknown. A walkover survey (NO66SE0225) was carried out by Arcus in October 2019, prior to the development of a solar farm.
