Full Description
OVER 40 FALLEN ANTI-TANK BLOCKS WHICH, FROM THE WAY THEY HAVE FALLEN, LOOK AS THOUGH THEY ORIGINALLY FORMED TWO NORTH-SOUTH ALIGNED LINES. THE NORTHERNMOST BLOCKS RETAIN PYRAMIDAL TOPS, SUGGESTING THE OTHERS MAY HAVE ORIGINALLY HAD THE SAME TOPS, WHICH HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY BEEN LOST TO EROSION. LOCAL INFORMATION SUGGESTS THAT THE BLOCKS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EXPOSED AFTER BEING BURIED FOR MANY YEARS. Recorded during coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009.
