Brick-built former fisherman's bothy, with a chimney at the southern end of the slate roof, now located within the St Cyrus National Nature Reserve.

Brick-built former fisherman's bothy, with a chimney at the southern end of the slate roof, now located within the St Cyrus National Nature Reserve. A small outhouse 50m to the northwest could be an associated privy. The main building is 2-storey with two skylights, a doorway on the eastern elevation with a window on either side and a small window in its southern gable end. A further squared outbuilding 50m to the southwest with a door in its western wall is the former generator shed, possibly an earlier coal shed. Recorded during coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009. The brick built dwelling is one of two rectangular buildings shown on the 5th edition 1:2500 scale OS map of circa 1945 (the two outbuildings to the west and south are not shown in this map). The second building, used as a store, is harled, with a corrugated iron roof and concrete block east gable with large opening. The two outbuildings are also harled and also appear to be of concrete/block construction. A photographic survey was carried out prior to the proposed demolition of the former generator shed (NO75226446), the former outhouse (NO75236452) and the bothy store (NO75246450).
