Full Description
Farmstead still in use that is depicted on the 1867 1st edition OS map as Balmaleedy. The map shows two rectangular buildings, a large square steading and a tree-lined garden. Two sluices, connected by a lade, supplies what may be a mill lcoated in the steading. The 1888 2nd edition map shows the same layout though the tree-lined garden has gone. The 2005 map shows the steadings have expanded with further buildings to the west and north. The closest pond is no longer depicted, nor the lade, while the northern pond is now a boggy area.
