Full Description
Farmstead depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition shows a quadrangular steading open in the middle of the southeast range, with an attached horsemill on the outer side of the southwest range, and a T-plan house with garden to the west. The horsemill had been removed and the steading partly infilled by the time of the 2nd edition map. According to Jervise (1879), a 17th century lintel stone built into West Balhagarty steading may indicate the former existence of a tower/laird's house near North Snadon farm (NO76NW0060).
