Full Description
Limekilns built circa 1750 and later. The remains of a single kiln and a pair of kilns, both stone lined. Also the more complete remains of a three or four draw kiln built of rubble with brick arch rings over the draw-holes. During World War II part of these kilns was converted to an observation post for the Home Guard. Site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey also noted remains of a small stone building just to the north.
