Full Description
Stables, currently disused, built in the late 18th century in a classical style, set within the Dunninald Castle designed landscape (NO75SW0042). It is a two-storey, rubble stone construction with a slated roof and a courtyard. The symmetrical south front has an arched and pedimented centre bay and wings. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out in December 2017 by Cameron Archaeology prior to proposed extension and conversion. The buildings were redesigned in the mid 19th century, at which time the decorative south facade may have been added. A square-plan dovecot in the centre of the courtyard was also recorded.
