Full Description
Two brick and concrete World War II gun emplacements. There is a mention in records in the Public Record Office of two 18 pounders at Ferryden manned by the Home Guard. The two emplacements are visible on RAF photographs taken in circa 1941 and 1942. Recorded by coastal zone assessment survey carried out by SCAPE between February and March 2009. The bricks are in English Garden Wall Bond 1 and 5, and they each have a concrete roof. Each have five loopholes, in the east, north and west sides, two of which are blocked up.
