Full Description
Cemetery, depicted from the 2nd edition OS map onwards. There is a cross of sacrifice standing on a circular plinth within the cemetery. As well as civilian burials, the cemetery also contains many First and Second World War graves. Most belong to airmen, and there is a defined RAF area in the south-eastern part of the cemetery. Other war graves, of all services, can be found just south of the north gate. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records 40 graves from WW1 (1914-1918) and over 90 from WW2 (1939-1945). Two being crew members of a Miles Master II (AZ333) that crashed in 1943 (ABERDEENSHIRE HER - NO68NE0031).
