Full Description

Former corn mill, now in residential use, probably built in the 19th century. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as an L-plan building with a mill lade running from the west and re-joining the river to the east. On the 2nd edition OS map an L-plan building and a smaller rectangular building have been added to the east. Current OS maps show the southern section of the earlier mill building has been removed, and the two building to the east remain with various additions and alterations. The route of the mill lade remains as a burn. A photo survey was carried out in 2019 prior to alterations to the Old Mill of Strachan.
