Full Description

Croft, still in use, depicted on the 1st edition OS map of 1867 as an L-plan building and 2 rectangular buildings. On the 2nd edition map of 1888, the southernmost rectangular building has been removed. The northernmost rectangular building and the south wing of the L-plan survive. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out on the rear building by MAS in September 2018 prior to proposed demolition. It is recorded as being a disused single-storey steading building with a piended slate roof that has had various alterations. Inside the concrete floor has scars and stubs of wooden uprights indicating livestock pens. The croft was part of the Leys estate, and extended to circa 6 acres.
