Full Description

Remains of three small buildings, within two attached elongated enclosures, depicted on the OS 1st edition map. To the north at NO 6741 9574 is a sawmill and the southeast are two millponds. On the 2nd edition map only one of the three buildings are depicted. The sawmill and ponds are still visible although one of the ponds appears to be disused. Today no buildings or ponds are depicted. The foundations of the saw mill complex were recorded by Forestry Commission in 2009, comprising building footings, sluices, a wheel pit and associated enclosures. To the south-southeast are the remains of a two celled building, that depicted on the OS 1st edition map.
