Full Description

The remains of an enclosure or cultivation plot showing as a level terrace recorded during rapid walkover carried out by D Hall in March 2021 ahead of proposed woodland creation scheme. The southwest facing slope of Bannock hill has been deliberately terraced to a depth of 1.4 m thus creating a level platform measuring 45 m east-west by 80 m north-south. This area has been previously cultivated and at the time of survey was retaining a lot of water. At the southwest end at NO 60322 76407 there are the remains of a possible sub rectangular building mound measuring 4 m by 2 0m and standing 0.40 m high.
