Full Description
Possible saucer cairn. The cairn itself is a stony mound 7.5 m in diameter and 0.3 m high. It is surrounded by a low turf-covered bank, concentric with it, circa 2m across and 0.3 m high, enclosing an area 19 m in diameter. White quartz stones, a feature of prehistoric ceremonial sites, especially in the northeast are visible on the bank. It is possibly a robbed cairn, but the regularity of the bank suggests that this is an original feature and it is more likely to be a saucer cairn of the Wessex type.
