Full Description
The burial mound measures 18 m in diameter and stands 2 m high. A 19th Century excavation is said to have taken place at the site, where several cists containing bones and a cinerary urn were found. The artificial mound, of largely earthen content, shows no signs of a 19th Century excavation,
Circa 30 m to the northeast are three earthfast stones, 4 m apart, forming an arc. They are unusual in being in an area generally devoid of stones. Their purpose is obscure but they could represent the surviving aspects of a stone circle 7-8 m in diameter.
