Full Description
Mansion house and possible site of earlier manor. 19th century 2-storey house with basement. Constructed in ashlar. The house is rectangular plan with 5-window front and advanced centre bay. There is a Greek doric column doorpiece, centre first floor window over in segmentally arched recesses, architraved windows with cornices at ground ground. Plain 4-window flanks without architraves. Impressive interior with central toplit hall unfortunately considerably altered in late 19th century and again more recently.
Period Notes
Built c1825/30. R & J Adam plans date 1789, but not used. Much altered in late 19thC. Twin doocots date c1800.
