Full Description
Remains of stone circle. A prostrate monolith lying to the south is all that survives of a nearly circular stone circle composed of loose stones. The OS Name Book (1868) noted that it was called by old people 'The Catholic Chapel'. It has also been called the 'Papish Kirk'. RCAHMS site visit suggested that this is possible remains of a cairn.
