Full Description
Farmstead depicted on historic OS maps. On the 1st edition map the L-plan farmhouse is shown with a garden enclosure and a pump at south, a U-plan steading is to the north, open to the south, with a longer projecting west range, a pump at the southeast and a benchmark at the northeast of the east range. On the 2nd edition map the farmhouse is shown with a small addition to the northeast corner, the garden enclosure has been reduced in size, there are small rectangular outbuildings to the west of the house and the steading courtyard has been roofed over. The pump southeast of the steading is no longer shown. The current edition OS map shows the steading with further small additions, the previous outbuildings west of the house are no longer shown, with two larger outbuildings shown southwest and northwest of the house.
