Full Description
A mooring stone which was noted by the Montrose Basin Survey 2012 within the grounds of the Montrose Pottery. It had been placed there some years previously by the owner's father. The stone was circa 9 ft tall with circa 4 ft buried. Erosion scars from ropes indicate its original function as a mooring stone, retrieved from the area of Montrose harbour when it went out of use.
